It it with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ron on January 2, 2022 at the Huntsville Hospital. He is the beloved husband and best friend of Tracy (Schmidt) Raaflaub. Much loved father of Kayla (Darren), and Kyle (Katie). Adored grandpa of Braeden, Mason and Ben. He is survived by his cherished mother Lou, his family Judy (Greg), Brad (Shelly), and Jackie (Silla), Martha, Jim (Bonnie), Kimm, and Brian (Debbie), his many nieces, nephews, his work family at Lofthouse, the Pevensey neighbours and his friends that were always treated as family.
Ron is predeceased by his father Marv, father-in-law Wilbert.
If one word was used to describe Ron it would be “gentleman”, soft spoken, gentle nature and kind to all.
He loved the outdoors hunting, fishing, camping, playing with the grandkids, his community and teaching his many talents to those around him.
A private family visitation will be held, followed by cremation.
Memorial donations to Algonquin Grace Hospice or the Almaguin Pet Rescue would be acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
