It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Randy Hummel at his home on May 28, 2026 with Deanne by his side. Our memories of him will forever remain in our hearts. HIs wings were ready but my heart was not.
He is the beloved husband of Deanne (Scarlett) Hummel, much loved brother of Mark (Karen) and Monty (Mandy) Hummel.
He is survived by his nephew Brett, nieces Taylor (Jordan), Madison (Hunter), Arianna and Madison, extended family and many friends.
He loved his farm, all of his animals and his car community.
Before retiring Randy spend 37 years at Boart Longyear and he enjoyed spending time with his work buddies.
Randy fought a valiant cancer battle with positivity and graciousness, with little complaint. He was my hero.
He is predeceased by his parents Cletus Hummel and Joan Reichstein Hummel.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial donations to All Hearts Pet Rescue, Canadian Cancer Society or Shock Rodz Car Club or a charity of your choice would be acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
Randy's family wishes to thak everyone for their support, prayers, and expressions of sympathy during this difficult time.
Randy would like to acknowledge the people in the community that have treated him so well during his cancer journey. To the Doctors and Nurses and community programs that supported him. With a special thank you to Dr. Leckie, Dr. Jinnah and Dr. Moore and RN Tamara Chapman. They are all angels without wings. I don't think he realized the connections that he has made through the years. I am blessed to have witnessed the impression he has made.
