In Loving memory of a great man, who at the age of 66, passed away on November 9th, 2023, after a lengthy, hard fought battle with ALS. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Sharon, his son Jason, his daughter Stacy and his beloved grandchildren Kenzie, Kassidy, Tessa and Titan, as well as his mother-in-law Mona Picard.
Larry will be missed by his siblings, Jeannine, Claire, Pauline, Claudette, Claude, Reginald and Oscar. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
He will be terribly missed by his cats Charlie, Ivy and Bobo, they enjoyed sleeping in the recliner with him.
Predeceased by his parents Edmond (Red) and Marie-Jeanne Chicquen and siblings, Suzanne, Sandra, Jackie and Rheo.
Larry's love of all outdoor activities, long road trips, poker and bingo nights with his buddies, painting rocks to gift out is shadowed by his greatest role in life; which if you knew him, knew it was being Poppa to his 4 grandkids. He loved and spoiled them beyond measure, he could never be replaced or forgotten.
Larry was a hard worker and enjoyed his profession at Aunt May's Bakery for several decades, as well as North Bay Regional Hospital, and his second job as School Bus driver. The children loved him immensely.
Special thanks to the paramedics, Mattawa and North Bay hospitals, staff who were very caring and compassionate.
Celebration of Life service will be held at the Mattawa Legion, 360 Hurdman St, Mattawa, Ontario on November 19th, 2023 commencing at 12:30 p.m.
