Kirsti Salovaara

 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kirsti Salovaara on February 19, 2026 at Eastholme for the Aged. She is the loving mother of Mark (Elaine), Mike (Yuki), John (Linda) and Dan Salovaara. She is the treasured grandmother to Maria, Anna and Henri. Predeceased by her dear husband George and son Lauri. Mom was the foundation to the family, she was our mother bear and her greatest treasure was looking after her boy cubs and Poppa bear. That was her purpose. Mom was a hard worker, she worked at D.A Clarke Veneer, Caswells and Southwind Retirement Home. She will be deeply missed. Visitation at the Raney Funeral Chapel on Friday March 6, 2026 from 11-1 Funeral Service to follow at 1 pm. Reception to follow. If so desired, memorial tributes to The Good Happenings Food Bank-South River would be acknowledged as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to Raney Funeral Chapel.
