John "Jack" Steven Maeck

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of John "Jack" Maeck at North Bay Regional Health Center on March 29, 2025, at the age of 69.
 Beloved dad of Dale ( Alex) Cianfarani.  He is predeceased by his wife Evelyn and  his cherished daughter Dana. Much loved brother of Joan, Peggy, Ken, Kay, Kim (Kelley), Arleen, and Betty (George). Predeceased by his parents Walter and Bessie, his siblings Faye and Greg "Mick". He will be lovingly remembered many nieces, nephews and friends.

Jack worked over 30 years as a machinist at the O.N.R. and he was an avid Star Trek fan, loved all genres of music & held a special love for family musicians (Lorne Maeck, Gordie Maeck).  He loved slot machines whether playing in-person at land casinos or online & he was very good with his hands--he could fix all most anything, he loved taking things apart & putting them back together, sometimes, just to see how they work.

Cremation has taken place per his wishes.  A Graveside service and burial of ashes will be held at the South River Cemetery, May 31, 2025 at 2 pm.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
