James Allan “Jim” Pritchard, 63, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, surrounded by loved ones in North Bay, Ontario.
Born July 4, 1962, in Toronto, Ontario, Jim was the beloved son of John and Eleanor Pritchard. Jim was a kind-hearted, fierce, loving, fun, and spirited man. He appreciated the quiet life and worked hard alongside his wife, Jane, to build that dream together. After entering early retirement, Jim and Jane headed north to South River, where they could truly enjoy the peaceful life he had always strived for.
From his love of traveling to the Dominican with his wife to fishing off the dock with his grandson, Jim was always looking for ways to make the most of life. Spending quality time with family was his favourite way to do just that. He had a remarkable gift for welcoming new people into his circle and made everyone feel seen, heard, and loved. His kindness was infectious, and his open heart was an inspiration to all who knew him.
He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Jane; his children, Jamie, Jessica, Jonathon, Kevin and Troy; and his cherished grandchildren, Gage and Scarlett.
The family will hold a celebration of life for Jim on Saturday, July 4, 2026 — Jim’s 64th birthday — at his home in South River. This later date will allow time for the winter weather to pass and for family and friends to plan the trip to celebrate the beautiful man Jim was.
Further details will be shared with family and friends closer to the date.
