Helen Rafter

It is with of heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother Helen Rafter at the Carriage House in Oshawa, on Sunday January 22, 2023.  Much loved mother of June Doggett of Gowganda, Nancy Bell (Doug) of Balzac, Wendy Bangma (Jeff) of Sault Ste Marie and Tim (Brenda) of Bowmanville.  She will be dearly remembered by her 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Predeceased by her loving husband Bill, her brother Jim Pritchard, son-in-law Butch Doggett and her parents Herbert and Lois Pritchard.

Mom enjoyed a good cup of tea, reading books, her Bible, knitting and spending time at the cottage in younger years.

One if Mom's sayings which we will always remember was " Be thankful for what you have, it could be a lot worse"

Visitation at the Raney Funeral Chapel on Saturday January 28th 2023, from 11-1 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 1 p.m. with Chris Nicholson officiating.
