Gilbert Benoit Chartrand

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Gilbert (Gil) Chartrand at his home on Tuesday, October 29, 2025.  Gil is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Betty), sons Dean (Heather), Richard (Erin), and Gabrial. Grandfather of Ryan, Brock, Brittany (Dusty), Crystal, Ethan, Nellie, Payton and Angelica.  Brother of Frank Chartand.  Predeceased by his brother Claude.

Gil worked his life in the service industry, most in the computer and electronic sector.  He enjoyed refurbishing old computers and was a man inventing new ways of making things more efficient.

A private family service will be held with interment at the Strong Cemetery.

In lieu of flower, memorial donations to the The Good Happenings Foodbank (South River) or Sundridge Foodbank in memory of Gil would be appreciated by the family.
