Fern Lucille Carmichael (Hall)

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother Fern on Wednesday March 8, 2023, at Eastholme Home for the Aged, at the age of 90. Predeceased by her husbands Bruce Carmichael (2016) and John Hall (1993). Much loved mother of Brian Hall (predeceased 2005) (Mary); Monty Hall (Diane); Marilyn Taylor (Bruce); and Sherry Downie (Tom Turcotte). Dear sister of Meryl Cox (Olive-predeceased 2021); Marvin Cox (predeceased 2023) (Evelyn); Greer Cox (predeceased 2021). Proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and close family friends.

Fern was an active member of Chalmers United Church Women for many years; and operated Fern’s Beauty Salon in South River for more than 50 years.  She was very creative and always had a project on the go whether it be sewing, knitting, painting, quilting etc.  She loved to spend time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed.    

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held in May. If so desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
