It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dean Russell Carleton at his home on July 23, 2025. He is the much loved husband and best friend of Lynda Carleton.
Treasured father of Clint (Becki), Brett, Amy and Stefanie. Dear grandfather of Aidan, Colleen, Claire, Sophie, Abby and Megan. Survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, former
collegues and close friend Al Duncan (Sandy).
Predeceased by his siblings Kent (Glenna), Patricia (Rogerdeceased), and Bradley (Debbie).
Dean was a retired Metro Toronto Police Officer, R.C.M.P.officer and later had his own private investigation business.
He was an avid sports fan, cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs, Blue Jays and Argos. He enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting and the vegetable garden. Dean had a great
sense of humour which he passed down to his children. Family time for Dean was important and treasured.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be held at Raney Funeral Chapel on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 1-3 pm and 6-8 pm. A Masonic Service will be held at 8 pm. followed by shared memories.
If so desired, memorial donations to the South River-Machar Union Public Library would be acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
