It is with sadness we announce the passing of Dave on Tuesday May 15th, 2018 at the North Bay Regional Health Center in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Margaret Steen of South River. Dear father of Dianne Takeuchi (Lindell) of Burlington, Brenda Steen (Tom Dick) of Peterborough, Geoff, Steen of Chapleau and Ted Steen of Cache Creek, B.C. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Claire, Alec, Hunter, Maya, Jeff, Jeremey , Jordan and his great grandson Cullen. Loved brother of Paul (Norma) Steen and Sylveena Hasket. Dave loved his community and volunteered many hours with the South River Legion, The Seniors Club, the Agricultural Society and he loved playing Santa Claus. In keeping with Dave’s wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Saturday May 19th, 2018 at the Raney Funeral Chapel from 12- 4 p.m. If so desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation would be acknowledge as expressions of sympathy by the family.
