Morley Avis

Morley passed away peacefully at his daughter’s home with family by his side on Friday August 18^th, 2017 in his 80th year.    Beloved husband of Helen (Whitehead) Avis of South River.  Much loved father of Cathy (Nigel) Fisher of Deep River, and Ross (Kathy) of British Columbia. Proud grandfather of Bradley (Deanna), Darwin (Stephanie), Kristen (Collin), Malia, Morley Jr (Sydney), and Tearra Lynn (Curtis), and his 12 great grandchildren. He will be missed by his extended family and many friends. Predeceased by his parents William and Evelyn (Ireland) Avis.

Morley spend most of his life driving truck. He had a great sense of humor, loved joking around and enjoyed a morning brew with the guys at the Kwik Way.  Friends may visit at Raney Funeral Chapel on Saturday August 26^th, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 1:30 p.m.  A reception will follow at the South River Legion Branch 390.   Memorial donations to the Almaguin Pet Rescue or The Diabetes Society would be greatly acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.   Arrangements entrusted to Raney Funeral Chapel Online condolences at www.raneyfuneralchapel.ca
