Arthur Logan Murdoch

Art  passed away peacefully at North Bay Regional Health Center on Wednesday June 21, 2017 in his 89^th year.  Beloved husband of Barbara Murdoch.   Loving father to Peter (Kerri) Murdoch.  Proud grandfather of Benjamin Murdoch and Samantha Murdoch.  Dear brother of Dr. Douglas Murdoch (Marlene) and brother-in-law to Robin (Pauline) Ralston. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, neighbors and friends. Predeceased by his son Perry.   Art was a well- known, community oriented resident who spent many years as a volunteer and committed member of the South River Legion Branch 390, South River Curling club, Grace Anglican Church and was a Chartered member and Past President of the South River Lions Club.  In his earlier years, he volunteered as a firefighter and was  a local  businessman owning the Gulf service station.  Art enjoyed playing hockey and baseball and loved his sports.     Friends may call at Raney Funeral Chapel on Friday June 23^rd, 2017 for a Legion Service at 6p.m followed by a Lions service.  Visitation  until 9 pm.   Memorial service on Saturday June 24^th, 2017 at the Grace Anglican Church at 1 p.m. with Larry Jeffery officiating.  Memorial donations to the Grace Anglican Church would be greatly acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.  Online condolences at www.raneyfuneralchapel.ca
