Dad passed away Saturday March 26th, 2016 at Fairvern Nursing Home in his 83rd year, having been predeceased by his wife Grace (nee Duchene).  He leaves behind his daughters Linda Boyd and Lori (Glenn) Thornborrow, his grandchildren Eric and Cayley, and his companion Debbie Lowry.  Dad enjoyed a 25 year teaching career at Almaguin Highlands, after which he spent his time either in the garage tinkering or on the road.  Whether cross country traveling with Debbie or off road adventures to Brent with Glenn, he was always up for a trip!  Family will receive visitors at Raney Funeral Chapel on Saturday April 9th, 2016 from 11:30-1:30 pm.  A memorial service will follow at 1:30 pm.with Larry Jeffery officiating.  If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society or Friends of Fairvern would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.raneyfuneralchapel.ca
